Exceptional

This relatively short work was a very honest look at our veterans and the society they return to. Sebastian Junger is critical of the modern society and its effect on its people, especially its veterans. Mr. Junger offers a glimpse into why veterans have a difficult time rejoining society, how this affects PTSD, and how war (or other trying times) brings people together.

(Audiobook) amazing read about how the structure of society greatly impacts the treatment of PTSD and what we should strive for as a society.

Great quick book about how we as a nation are going against centuries of "tradition". Basically how current society does not work as well in some ways as we did in tribes in the past. And we need to instill some of the concepts from that way of life into our current way of living to help those with PTS and those growing up into adulthood.

Very useful when looking at our culture. As a mental health counselor, I found this thought provoking for sure!

Very fascinating book about the need for a “tribe” in our own lives. We all want a place to belong.
