Okay so that was probably the shortest story I’ve ever read/listen to and there isn’t really much to talk about. After finishing Scarlet gospel I was recommended to read this as it served as a prelude to The Scarlet Gospel but I do have a few problems with the story. Firstly I was very confused with the canon , it seems like this short story takes place within the film universe and not the books which was very jarring and I felt that it kind of takes away from what the Scarlet Gospel went to set out. Secondly the Lang the short story itself is around 100 pages or about an hour and a half of an audiobook and I breeze through the story very quickly and it just felt like there wasn’t enough room for developing of characters. If felt more as an afterthought than anything, I understand that the scarlet gospel was originally supposed to be more than 1000 pages but it’s starting to become evident as I’m thinking back through the story that this might of been a cut except from that story. Its way too short, but I do like how it connects into the next novel in the series wall it is recommended by some people to read this short story before the scarlet gospel. I would advise against that as towards the very end of this short story they actually spoil the ending of Scarlet gospel which completely ruins that book and gives away the mysteries, consequences and the big ramifications at the end of that story. It’s also really interesting to read the story of characters that were created by Clive Barker but not be written by him. Finally the ending of this short story is interesting it’s implications there was a particular small detail in the Scarlet gospel that doesn’t really get explained and in this short story they go into more detail about it and hints towards a possible future with the main character in the short story.

Garbage
This was a bit confusing at first, because apparently it follows what happens after the first Hellraiser movie, instead of the original novella The Hellbound Heart, which are kinda different.
It wasn't the best, but it was still cool to see more of the Cenobite's Hell, even if you technically don't see any Cenobites except for Pinhead, but oh well...
Bridges the gap between The Hellbound Heart and The Scarlet Gospels. It was nice to be back with Kirsty but all this does is tie up a small plot point from the sequel. Fun nonetheless.

This is a very weird little novella that really brings into question if Miller had read the Hellbound Heart before penning this sequel? It is very much a prequel to The Scarlet Gospels (which I love) but all the information it provides about Kirsty's past are from the movie Hellraiser, not the short story. However this is distinctly called "Hellraiser" so are we to perchance that the Scarlet Gospels is also a sequel to Hellraiser and not Hellbound Heart?
Look...that bit of nerdy is in essence entirely superfluous to the plot, just muddied the water.
The Plot as it is was very short but had some very enjoyable and creepy sequences. I was not a huge fan of some of the attempts at humour but the horror was executed well.
Not essential reading. Hellraiser fans should enjoy it.
