The Edge of the Ocean continues Flick's adventures with the Strangeworlds Travel Agency! This time they are entering Queen Nyfe's world - called The Break - a place of magic and piracy. There is just one issues: the world is breaking apart and the pirates are fighting among themselves. It's up to Flick, Jonathan and his cousin Avery to find out how to help them. I loved the adventures on sea and pirates always add something fun to a story! I also liked seeing Flick's growing friendship with Avery, who is from another world (though there are some hints of some more romantic feelings). Initially, she is wary of the new girl who joins them on their adventure, especially as Avery is constantly annoying her. I really enjoyed their dynamic! Jonathan had my heart as always and it also broke for him, as he's dealing with a ton of complicated emotions and hopelessness! Jonathan, Avery and Flick were just the best adventuring trio!
