Overall... I actually found this book really confusing. I've never been that big into alien abductions and that stuff so I think that's why. But once I got past the halfway point the story really turned and if I hadn't already been hooked because the characters were amazing... I was then. The ending of this book was so fantastic and leaves me wanting a sequel so badly. I want to know what happened to Neil, Brian and Eric... after...

this is definitely a heavy book to read. i even had to skip a few pages but in the end is good. trigger warning: EVERYTHING.

god this book is such a slow burn. the ending wasn’t what i quite expected. i’m going to watch the movie soon which i am nervous for, im not sure if i’ll be able to make it all the way through. this book is so dark and fucked up and sickening, some of the language is just hard to fucking read. not because it doesn’t make sense, but because of how sad and twisted the whole story is. i thought it was interesting how some parts that seem unnecessary in the book get brought back up towards the ending and tied back into brian’s trauma. overall the book is good but definitely triggering and emotional. good piece.
