I just realized that the series is written by 3 different women! I had no idea, and they flowed so well together too. Well done ladies.
This one is about Sophie and her final attempt to win Sam over. It starts with a Christmas party and some action but Sam is really hot and cold. She is confused, angry- you know.
But what I liked was what Sam's inner voice had to say, to get the insight into his trauma from serving in the Marines. It made sense once that snapped into place for Sophie and for us the reader, and we made our way to the HEA. Nice short story.

This book is low key boring as hell, I just kept waiting for it to get better and it didn’t. First red flag should have been that she was ‘not like other girls’, followed by the mmc being an ex-marine with ptsd who clearly refuses to get help while taking it out on the people around him. This could have been so good, but the writing is so dull and frustrating and the characters are both insufferable.
