This art is gorgeous!! I enjoy seeing this style, even if it’s a little sharp.

The story is fun, too. It’s surprisingly dark. There are some crazy and strange instances, but considering the house, it makes sense.

Engaging and unique!

I couldn't help but cry when reading chapter 5. Zushi's sister in the Lantern Procession...

I never know how to rate mangas, it’s such a different style of story-telling. Events happen quickly, because it needs to in order for the art to be captivating but sometimes it’s that quick pace I find rather jarring.

I love the art in this series, and the storyline is definitely up my street. Cursed boy, mystical house, tragic backstories and romance? Yes please.

I can see myself being well and truly roped into this one.

This volume had more to it than the first one. I am more curious about other aspects of the mystery. The characters have more personality in this volume.
Himari's naivete has the potential to either make her endearing to people or very annoying. I am somewhere in the middle. Her compassion for Aoi's position is a crucial part of her character, I don't understand why she cares as deeply as she does, as if they have known each other for years instead of less than a week.
This story is a little over the top in drama, but I am curious about where things are headed, so I plan to keep reading.

~3.5/5
(Contains light spoilers.)

Himari sees what position Aoi is really in, being stuck in the Momochi house. And she’s determined to help him, to figure out how to get him out of it.

Aside from that development, we meet some new yokai, Himari gets in trouble a few times, Aoi gets sick, and then we leave off with Himari inviting over some new friends from school—a cliffhanger, because one of them is supposedly a ghost. It seems like we might be going into that territory, where we get episodic cases or problems, with odd-and-end yokai introduced. I’m okay with that, though I really hope we get to know more about the other two yokai living with Aoi. They’ve been introduced, but at this point only have minor characteristics. I hope they get bigger parts soon.

I am enjoying this series quite a bit, and I do like the artstyle here. I’m a fan of Shouoto, and I like the plot for this series. Himari is a good heroine, and I think Aoi is adorable; I just want to hug him.

Overall, I’m looking forward to reading the next one, though it’s not leaving a huge impression on me so far.

I was impressed with this volume. The story is beginning to unfold and we are slowly learning more about each character and this mysterious house.

It was good, just still a little confusing. And the ending was good and cliffhangerish.
