Aside from various theatrical and film adaptations, I'd only ever read an abridged children's version of this book. The full cast recording offered by Audible made the audiobook an appealing format, but I had some difficulty differentiating the various pirate-y voices for the first half of the book. By the second half, this became a little easier, but by then it never really fully engaged my active attention.
Oltre a quanto già detto a commento della lettura della versione italiana, devo aggiungere la grande freeschezza che comunica la lettura della versione originale, dove i caratteri dei personaggi emergono nel pieno delle loro caratteristiche, il giovane protagonista in tutta la sua ingenuità, la perfidia di Silver, la rozzezza dei pirati che fa ne fa presagire la rovina.
Un libro di avventure per ragazzi, ma anche un raffinatissimo libro di formazione, e soprattutto uno di quei libri che hanno il potere di trasportare il lettore nel proprio universo ... dove lo aspettano la gruccia di John Silver e il Capitano Flint ...

I ended up quite liking this one! Though, i DO wish i had read it 1. as a kid and 2. before having literally watched Pirates of the Caribbean 500 times because wow I see where Disney got their story from, but i also know POTC like the back of my hand which made this book a little bit boring. If you like pirates though or know a kid who likes pirates, definitely a good one!

I enjoyed this so much. The voice acting was stellar & easy to follow along with the mixture of dialog and narration. John Silver is a wonderful anti-hero....or at least I can't help but like the guy. Highly recommend this.

The language makes this book a bit tricky to get into at the start but is weel worth the effort.

A fun adventure story...I definitely understand why this inspired centuries of boys to strike out in search of treasure! :)
