Usually I hate whiny, dumb fmc’s, but I could actually understand why Diem made the bad decisions she did. I also like all the side characters in this book, even the “bad” ones (just enough to where I’m not gritting my teeth when they’re around or begging for their downfall), which is rare.

Such a fun adventure romp/romantasy. The scene at the first cousin dinner was a bit cringe but otherwise I had a really good time. I really like the world Penn Cole has constructed

I love that the heroine isn’t just innately good at everything has all the answers. 
Diem ( a name I only ever heard before on MTVs The Challenge) is flawed and often makes mistakes. 

The writing it well done I like the passing the world building. Even the endings don’t piss me off ready t start the next one
