The whole time I thought the twist was going to be thing but then it ended up being different than I thought, definitely one of the better thriller/mystery that I've read in a while. The ending was chilling and satisfying and I still think about it months later.

I thought i saw the twist coming….but I was wrong! Overall pretty good but a little disappointed with the ending.

I picked this up on a whim today and it was just what I needed. Twisty and turny with fascinating characters and a good reminder that a lot of the history America would like to forget about is more recent than people would care to admit. 

I might give Jennifer McMahon's other books a go but if you already like this one, I'd highly recommend trying The Degenerates by J Albert Mann.

It started off really good, the middle was good, but the ending did not deliver. It did not tie up lose ends and instead left new ones, especially when the entire book was waiting for the showdown that lasted like a page. It was very anticlimactic.
