adventurous tense fast-paced

A slick thriller from an author who knows what they are doing. The elevator pitch may be a bit gimmicky, but the various character and subplots are intertwined expertly, with just the right amount of detail and characterisation to make you care but not enough to slowdown the fast-paced plot before it reaches a suitable climax.

This is an enjoyable thriller with a steady plot which really picks up towards the end. I thought I had guessed who was the culprit, but I got caught out by the red herrings. I really enjoyed the characterisation of this novel - they were just ordinary people going about their everyday lives when they are plunged into an extraordinary situation. I enjoyed the ending which had kept me guessing. This book makes me think twice about getting into a lift.

SHIT ON A SHINGLE!
This was INSANE!!

The premise of this book is some wacko tampered with elevators in NYC and we follow along with the detectives, the mayor, and different folks around the city dealing with the fallout.
Suspense ✅️
Humor ✅️
Tension so bad it makes you want to go to the bathroom ✅️
I cannot recommend this enough (unless you live in a high-floor apartment... then maybe not
