Reading Blissed is like a romantic video on Hallmark, a small town where everything concerns wedding corporations and organizations.
If you are ready for a romantic escapade that will sweep you off your feet, Blissed is the perfect match with its lighthearted and funny tone. It weaves together themes of romance, weddings, and small-town charm. With its promise of a second chance at love and a dash of magical realism, Blissed might be the perfect blend to satisfy you blissfully.
There are times when it dragged with all the remorse Natalie has because she thinks she isn't the person her deceased mother would be proud of. CJ is a person who is grieving and, at the same time, doesn't know how he will continue with his life after destroying his first marriage. CJ's family with spice names is funny, but for me, the best character in this novel is Noah, Natalie's son.

Ok, I was not sure about the first 1/3rd of this book to get into it more, but I honestly really liked it. Natalie and C.J. were great.

They pretty much had the chemistry right from the beginning, but both had their demons to battle. And while I'm not a big reader of low-spice rom-com books, this one actually pleased me. Jamie Farrell (aka Pippa Grant) roped me into this series here, and I'll certainly continue it, with high hopes that I will get more of this couple.

Enjoyable

Once you get past the first part of the book it’s worth it. I definitely struggled with the first few chapters as they just didn’t flow and felt like a lot of it was unnecessary.

First in a series. Sweet, predictable, likable characters, realistic situations/conversations. A nice, quick read.

Blissed
Misfit Brides, Book 1
By: Jamie Farrell
Narrated by: Karen White

Come to Bliss, it's the happily ever after you have been waiting to go to! At least that is how it is portrayed! Jamie Farrell writes a humorous romance that will have you laughing out loud and wondering just what is going to happen. Natalie is divorced with a son, and runs her parents' bridal shop. She is also now in charge of the annual Husband Games and is determined to make it the best in memory of her mother. Not looking for a relationship, she sees CJ, the last person she wants to meet. The reason for her divorce, at least in her mind, she wants nothing to do with him. Until she does. These two have witty banter, funny situations and will have you wanting to visit the town just to see the happily ever after! It's a blast. And Noah...what a kid! Give this one a listen, your heart will be happy.

Narrated by the talents of Karen White, each voice purposefully fits every character. She has a knack for matching them perfectly, and her comedic timing is spot on. It's a fun, easy listen and she makes it complete entertainment!

A town where everything is geared to wedded bliss. How could a divorced single mum not fit in? A widowed drifter from a very large family also doesn’t fit the criteria but he is accepted. Can they sort out their issues and get the town to accept them as a couple? They really are a perfect match.

Poor Natalie. Stuck in a place where the town matriarch hates her and feeling like she's failing her family and her mother's legacy, she really needs her luck to change. It's amazing how the right person can turn your life around, and CJ manages to do just that! He's dealing with his own baggage from the past, but together they help each other heal and find love. This is such a heartwarming story! And who doesn't love a dinosaur that wears dresses?
