I wasn't sure what to expect when I started this book other than a band was working on an album at a haunted home. I absolutely loved the interview style telling of this story. Nothing is given away at the beginning of the book so the entire time you listen to the band members and others tell the story of what happened that summer at Wylding Hall you are wondering what in the world happened. It gives this air of suspense through the entire book that has you hanging on to every word just waiting to find out what went so wrong at Wylding Hall. I also enjoy that this is told from multiple viewpoints because you get a broader story than you would had it just been a single point of view. I think Elizabeth Hand did a wonderful job of making this a creepy tale that was steeped in folklore, however, I didn't really find it to be scary at all. I still enjoyed the story all the same though and would recommend it to anyone.
