Yes, I'll admit that I'm a fan of this series. Since Alex has always stood out to me as a woman who knows what she wants and I'm currently pregnant, I thought now would be the time to give this quick read a look.
The book was a little different than I expected -- instead of dispensing advice, it detailed Alex and Simon's approach to parenting -- the good, the bad and the ugly. I like that Alex admitted the mistakes that she made and didn't make any excuses, or too big a deal over them. I liked the He Said/She Said style the book was written in and the Top 10 lists also made it a fun read.
Overall, as a woman expecting her first child and wondering what her life will look like with children, this book was very reassuring. Yes, Alex says, you can still be you. You can still go out to eat at nice restaurants, keep your marriage intact and even travel internationally with a 14 week old if you're of a mind to.
