Again! I thought this book was a stand alone, but after reading the end it definitely isnt. But I love this book, the only downside of it was the ending. It was to rushed for my taste.

It pains me that nothing I have to say about this book is a good thing. But it should have never been marketed as lower YA. Knife kink and various (very obvious) sexual innuendos don’t belong in books for 14 year old children.

I have no idea what I just read. It did read a lot like a fan fic. Be warned it does seem to be set up for a sequel but I don’t think there will be one. I don’t know wether I can say it was good, but I enjoyed some elements of it and it got less repetitive towards the end.
I kind of liked the unreliable narration and Sapphire’s slow descent into madness. However I felt the characters were underdeveloped and lots of the relationships felt forced and only there for the plot.

No rating seems right. Many of my thoughts are hard to word but the main things that stick out to me are how forced all the relationships in this book are (platonic, familial, romantic) but also that the writing is just… not good.

Also I don’t often find main characters annoying but my god
