I had such a nice time with this one, it’s just a little over 200 pages so it’s a quick read and definitely a good pallet cleanser if you need one.
It was cute and it had me smiling so much, I really like stories where he is the one who falls first and this one did it really well. I also like how he’s able to come face to face with the shitty way he was in the past, even if he wasn’t actively shitty he realized his inaction was just as bad, and went out of his way to not only apologize but make amends.
If you’re looking for cute and quick and not heavy on spice, this is a good one.

I read the prequel prior, which I was glad I did as it gave my an introduction to the characters and some back story - it's not needed by any means, but I like to read a series in order!
BATQ is a quick read, with a bit of spice. Enemies to lovers is the main trope, but def a case of insta-love too
Brent, Prescott's son is a lovely character and the moments between him and his Dad and him and Zoe were really sweet
I give the book ⭐⭐⭐

A single dad, enemies to lovers read that will have you falling love with the kid in the first scene!
Brent really stole the show for me in this book and the relationship between Brent and Zoe and how she helps him deal with his bullies was just full of feel good moments.
Prescott, when he was on he was on but so many times I wanted to smack some sense in him LOL!
This was a cute story with a lot of LOL moments.

New Author to me so when I saw sports romance and single dad I said let’s check it out. Our heroine used to be called Doughy Zoe by her High school bully. Prescott Reeves is our star QB and also one of Zoe triggers from her bad school memories. Hence why now she gives him no breaks when reporting about him or his team. There is a Chance meet with Prescott son and that shows Zoe in a different light. These two may be able to just find their HEA. My heart felt for Zoe and the bullying that she went through but with Prescott I wasn’t so sold on his forgiveness with his playing role in the bully department. I felt that some of the angst towards the end felt rushed and easily fixed with communication. Overall I enjoyed Brent but was not feeling that the relationship with Zoe and Prescott fully blossomed.
I give it 3.5 stars

Zoe (h) is a TV sportscaster who often critiques Prescott's (H) performance as a quarterback. She's being not so subtly pressured by her boos to get an interview with Prescott, but he doesn’t do interviews, as he wishes to keep his personal life private and just play ball. After she inadvertently helps Prescott's son, Brent, Zoey finds herself spending time with the pair. She struggles with her feelings for Prescott due to their past high school relationship - he stood by and id nothing while his girlfriend and her cronies bullied Zoe relentlessly. As the two get to know one another, the past will come back to threaten their relationship as the struggle to reach an HEA. A lovely enemies to lovers sports romance with a light side of hot and steamy action.

I have been so lucky in finding sweet, fun, 4 star+ romances this summer so far, and this book is no exception.
I read Beauty and the Quarterback in preparation for the ARC of the third book in the series. I was expecting a spicy quick read. What I got was a book that had me feeling *all* of the feels.
If you were/are -
- plus size
- bullied
- lost parents young
- have/had a toxic job
Then, this book is for you. When I say I could viscerally imagine the opening scene for Zoe, and I was immediately hooked.
Zoe and Prescott’s chemistry is wild, and her friendship with his son is something that had me doing all the *leg kickies.*
I will definitely revisit this one when I need a dose of sweet romance.

Zoe, the female lead, was bullied by many people in high school but has overcome her challenges and is now a successful TV sport reporter, though she’s still struggling with sexism in the workplace. Prescott, the male lead, was one of her bullies’ boyfriends and didn’t intervene. Now a single parent, he’s shocked to find his son is being bullied and Zoe can help him more than Prescott can. Then he starts to realise how much he likes Zoe…
This story is dual POV, well written, and very emotionally engaging. I empathised with both Zoe’s high school experiences and Prescott’s adult experiences. I appreciated the way they both struggled and developed through the story and that Prescott’s son was a well rounded character with his own input. I enjoyed the comeuppance for Zoe’s bully/Prescott’s ex.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Has The Quarterback Finally Redeemed Himself?
What a fantastic story. I loved the depth that the author went to combining past & present. Zoe & Prescott's tale is a true rollercoaster ride of enemies to lovers. Prescott is her former high-school bully & seeing him now, Zoe doesn't know how to feel.
Has her high-school bully truly redeemed himself or is it all just a front so she will write a favourable interview?
The spark & heated tension between them is undeniable but is that enough for a HEA or will that all be destroyed by a jealous ex?
Awesome book & can't wait to read more from the author. Have just added them to my favourite list.

This book was a surprise (in a good way). I was not expecting to like this book that much, solely based off the cover and title (which to me aren’t super appealing in my opinion). But I ended up liking it a lot. I’m a sucker for the single dad trope, which is what initially interested me in reading this book, and I’m so glad I picked it up. I read this book in one sitting, something about it really had me hooked. I found it super easy to get through, I couldn’t put it down. Usually when I’m reading I’ll be constantly taking breaks to go on my phone *tiktok*, but I didn’t find myself wanting to do that at all while reading this book. The story and the writing weren’t necessarily anything special, but I think the book was just what I needed at the time. The romance between Zoe and Prescott was cute, and I love seeing Zoe’s relationship with Prescott’s son develop. I really liked Zoe’s character as well. She was sassy without it being annoying, and I loved how driven she was in her career. Overall, it was a cute read and I’d recommend it to someone who’s looking for a light hearted, single dad, sports romance. It was exactly what I needed to get out of the reading slump I was getting in.
