I realllyyy wanted to give this book four stars but it just doesn’t deserve that. The characters fell flat. The plot was utterly too predictable. The author, I think, tried dropping subtle hints and nuggets but they were like flashing neon signs saying THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED. from book 1, you know who killed her family. It’s as bright as day and unfortunately it makes the FMC seem dumb not to figure it out before the end of this book to not even question that as an option.
