The way that they kept up the banter even after they got together is the highlight of the book. They fight a lot and it can get physical majority of the timeโฆbut itโs their way of connecting and communicating. If anyone else even dared to try and fight Devonโฆi truly believe Maddox would be there to kill that person!
The relationship between the 4 main characters (Nate, Devon, Xavi, Maddox) was so great. I loved how close they were and how their relationships developed a bit more and fleshed out more. There was a strong sense of brotherhood/community.
