I NEED more Kaiser and Bastian IMMEDIATELY.

5 stars! This was even better than Never Keep. We are fully in the story and plot now,less world building and character set up. As the twisted sisters do, the twists were twisting and I was on my toes and STRESSED the entire time. Looking forward to book 3 and hoping the gang all joins together at some point for a found family moment🥲 we’ll see though, more than likely it’ll just be more pain.

4.5 stars. Another mega read from some of my favourite authors. I had the same issues as the first book where a lot happens very quickly. Im not an action girly. I like things to build slowly, time to enjoy the characters when they’re not just running off all the time to avoid imminent death.

Again, I much preferred Everests POV and the associated characters over Vespers. I mean she has Galomp, Mavis and a cross eyed donkey… I love the fact she’s a fiery bitch despite being water. I loved it most though when the two of them are together, trying to take down the patriarchy!

POV’s from my baby Kaiser were hilarious. His complete lack of emotional understanding were real highlights for me. I will say that the slow burn is so torturous as it’s practically non existent! The ending is brutal as per and I can’t wait to see which direction it goes in next!
