Much better than the first and an entertaining read overall. Everest is quite the annoying female lead who definitely has a schizotypal personality disorder with delusions of grandeur but Vesper makes up for her many short comings. Wish we got more of Kaiser and hate when authors start to delve into important info about a character and then cut it off due to some sort of interruption in the story.. it’s such a cop out. Overall, it’s a like not love situation with the overall story still but if the next book was out it would be my next read due to my love of anything fantasy
