I’m not sure why people rate books so harshly. Sure the author is known for her podcast but I thought this book was great. Not once did it lose my attention compared to other more popular books/authors.
I thought the writing was pretty descriptive but I could always do a little more.
While there are detectives in this novel like most crime thrillers, I really enjoyed the story POV from the serial killer and the ME. I have not read a thriller like that yet and it grasped my attention more than a cop and killer.
This book was hands down a 5 star for me but I’m also not as stingy as some of these book review Karens.

I devoured this book! The author is very knowledgeable in painting a picture with the true crime world. I’ve listened to the Morbid podcast a few times and it’s one thing to talk about a case and story, and a whole other talent to be able to build a world on paper.
I was super impressed with the ambiance and twists of this book. I really didn’t see them coming.

My only complaint was the ending. Anyone know if there’s going to be a continuation?
I really liked Wrens perspective throughout the book and toward the end I was a little disappointed that her voice had been pushed out a little more. I thought the ending overall felt just a little rushed and unfinished.

Overall, a really great crime book and I would definitely read anything else she came out with!!

A quick fun read! I really liked the main twist and all the characters but the ending was flat and predictable to me. Looking forward to the next one for sure!

I was excited to read this book since I've been a fan of Morbid Podcast for years.  It was very well written.  The story was good.  Looking forward to the next one.
