Nothing against the book but it’s not for me. I zoned out almost immediately. I normally read romances 🤣

I will try and remain unbiased here, but as a Morbid Podcast listener it’s inevitable that I have a slightly screwed view.
To start with this is the first book this author has written and it shows. Not necessarily in a bad way, it has a simplicity to it that is really pleasant to read and easy to follow! There is a twist that I honestly didn’t see coming, but probably should have, but the characters felt a little hollow.
There are small inconsistencies: “she didn’t take her eyes off it” directly after “she glanced around” kinda inconsistencies.
I could go on picking at all sorts of things, but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It shows a perspective I’m particularly interested in and I will certainly be getting the next one in the series.
