Yay for another audiobook!!!
Overall - 3/5. So there were alot of ratings that were not super great for this book - I found it to be super scientific and I enjoy that kind of stuff. I guess this author is a famous podcaster - although I didn’t realize that going in. I’m wondering if listening to it helped me out more than reading it. It was rather grizzly though describing from a serial killers POV as well as a medical examiner. I also really liked the fact that it was two different voice actors in the audiobook too! There was one great twist about half way through I never expected - and it kept me really tuned in through the entire audiobook.
My big con is that I really don’t think there needs to be a sequel - I think it was drawn out too far and could have easily ended in this book. I saw another review that said that even though this was based in Louisiana - the author had never actually been there, and I will say that is a bit odd. Am I going to read the second one? Probably not - but I would maybe listen to it on audiobook. (I actually saw it the other day in booksamillion and made the conscious decision not to buy it lol)

Listened to the audiobook. Was nog really invested. Felt like ‘let me write a book real quick’…
Ugh! I read the reviews I should’ve known not to read this book but I had to. The story-great, spooky idea, however the writing was off. AND THAT ENDING WHAT!!
Loved that this was an easy read with short chapters & didn't go an extra unecessary 200 pages like many thrillers do. The story was just long enough to keep me interested & wanting more. The twist surprised me (but also felt like it came out of nowhere?) and once that was revealed I knew I had to finish in one sitting. Sequel?
