This book was recommended to me as a book with an MMC that gives Mandalorian vibes and boy does he! I also found the lore of this story easy to understand and immerse myself in. It did not take long for the story to have its hooks into me. The FMC is a little frustrating at times but it’s because of her upbringing and it’s really satisfying to see how her time with the MMC allows her to embrace her true nature and identity.

A cute introduction to Sci-Fi/Romance for me.

I thought the story was good but the pacing of it was terribly off.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the FMC- she came off too helpless/clueless/damsel-in-distress which I’m not really used to in the fantasy books I usually gravitate towards.

I am a HUGE fan of the MMC. Seems very complex and want to know more about his back story. I also found the side characters eons more interesting than Ferren (FMC).

Want to read the next book to see where the story goes. And considering this was the authors first published book I’m hoping to see an upward trend in the quality.

Just what I want in a Romantasy. The plot/ world building is on the light side, but feels will developed. Great found family story as well. I'm interested to see where the next book takes this story.
