I’m not a thriller fan, but I found this book less than thrilling. The mystery wasn’t all that intriguing and it wasn’t all that tense either. The main character, Daniel, was just okay, his daughter was insufferable, and all of the characters were pretty forgettable. I think the ending was pretty unsatisfying and it felt as if no one really dealt with the consequences.
Also, I cannot communicate enough the prevalence of major graphic violence, death, and mutilation in this book. So, fair warning there.
