Damon King has always been one of my favorite Eden Finley characters. His book (Fake Out) was my into to mm romance, and the book that earned me my "you have listened to a single title 25 times" badge
funny lighthearted

When I stop and think about just how many books there are in this larger universe my head starts to go "whut." I'll always read another Eden Finley sports romance but here's a real honest to god thing: I have read SO MANY hockey romances and barely batted an eye at the actual, you know, hockey of it all. Now you give me a baseball romance and all I could do is yell at the inaccuracies around the actual logical baseball. (I know we're not supposed to question the real sports shit, but when some of it is glaringly bad - no major league pitcher stays in until the ninth as a matter of "doing his job," for one - it makes me get a little eye twitchy.) I guess I should stick to hockey. ;0)

4.5 Stars..Eden Finley has done it again!! This book fits so well into the extended Sadenverse. I loved that you get to catch up with Damon in it too.

I was so excited for Kelley and Thad and I was not disappointed with their storey. Poor Thad is so bitter at the beginning having his baseball dreams not pan out and Kelley really struggling with his anxiety, especially after coming out as a queer athlete. Going on a social media detox (recommended by our silver fox Damon owner of king spots

This was pretty good I enjoyed it. Excited to see more of the series!

2.5⭐️

I just really could not get into the writing style for this book. The attempted humor in here fell flat for me every time sadly.

Thad and Kelley were absolutely precious! From the very beginning you can feel their chemistry and it only gets bigger and bigger as they found themselves trapped in the same cabin for two weeks.

I loved the anxiety rep and how Thad manages to find exactly what Kelley needs to be truly himself. I don’t read a lot of secret relationship romance but that one did it for me for sure! My heart broke for these two men who obviously want to be with each other…

The cameos were perfect, made me want to reread Brady’s book so much. And Eden made a pretty good job at introducing possible new characters for the series (I’m hoping Thad’s brother at some point?). I have a very good idea about who the next couple might be

Thad and Kelley were just wonderful! It was a bit emotional, very heartfelt and I just wanted to hug them and squeeze them. Their relationship progression was beautiful; they opened up, communicated and took chances without being too reckless. And it definitely paid off.

I loved seeing Damon again, and getting glimpses of Brady's story from the outside was a great addition.
