So much fun! This book fits so well into the extended Sadenverse and I loved how much Damon was featured

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Eden Finley has done it again! "The Backup Plan" is a delightful start to the Kings Sports series that had me laughing, captivated, and completely engrossed from start to finish. The story is about Kelley, who is navigating his anxiety issues, and Thad, whose initial misunderstanding of Kelley adds layers to their budding relationship. They were introduced in Brady's story, "Can't Say Goodbye." What begins as a casual hookup turns into a beautiful friendship filled with passion and chemistry, perfectly capturing the essence of the enemies-to-friends-to-lovers trope.

One of the highlights of the book is getting to see Damon again, but this time, as the charming "Daddy Damon" silver fox! His character adds a wonderful dynamic and warmth to the story. Plus, it was fantastic to revisit Brady's relationship from a fresh perspective, enriching the overall narrative.

Eden Finley’s ability to infuse the story with humor, making even the most serious moments feel lighthearted, is one of the reasons I love every one of her books. The way she weaves Kelley's and Thad's journey together is not only entertaining but also relatable, touching on themes of vulnerability and the complexities of love in a workplace setting. Just when I thought things couldn't get more interesting, unexpected news throws a wrench in their plans, leaving readers on the edge of their seats!

This book is a perfect blend of fun and heartfelt moments, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting series. I can't wait to see where Eden Finley takes us next in the Kings Sports universe! Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a charming, funny, and romantic read!

Oh, the audiobook is so lovely! I laughed out loud and cried a couple of times too. Liam DiCosimo is one of my faves and Tim Page brought his A-game for this one!

Kelley, a gay MLB pitcher battling anxiety and backlash after coming out, is sent on a two-week, phone-free getaway to reset. Thad, a former baseball hopeful turned sports agent intern, joins as one of his "babysitters." Their rocky start—fueled by Thad's assumptions about Kelley’s life—evolves into something deeper when Thad realizes the extent of Kelley's struggles.

Their dynamic is heartfelt as they support each other's growth, and their chemistry is undeniable. The story spans months, giving their relationship time to develop naturally. I loved seeing their journey.

It was also a treat to see Damon and Brady. This is a strong start to the series, and I’m excited to see where it goes next.
