So excited to have a new Eden series within the Sadenverse!
I loved the way that this book took a more serious note in comparison to other books within the Sadenverse. The representation of anxiety and intrusive thoughts was very well done! And it’s so hard to bring that stuff into a relationship and still be able to maintain that relationship.
I loved how the two complimented each other and were able to overcome the struggles.
Well done Eden! Can’t wait for more within King Sports!

Eden has my heart, so of course I signed up for an ARC of the book I was so hyped for. And I was not disappointed at all. Like AT ALL. It made me look up baseball and wanting to watch it, if this isn't proof enough for how great this book is, I really don't know what is.
I've loved the anxiety rep, even tho Kelley's anxiety differs a lot from mine, it still is gorgeous to have representation, and - unsurprisingly, considering Eden's history of writing great books with mental health rep - in such a sensitive way!
The whole forbidden aspect was well written and I even liked the time jumps, where I'm usually just irritated that characters don't communicate or work on their goals, but in this one, it just made sense. Brady being a main side character made me SO happy, since he might be my favourite out of the whole Sadenverse, and also the short appearances of Kit and Prescott made me grin stupidly. Of course I also liked Damon's presence - and most of it, Eden's trope of 'Damon knows all' because she's right!
Writing was fluent as usual, there were no lengths, even tho the book is a tad longer than most Eden books. And the humor was on fleek, but I wouldn't have guessed otherwise.
Baseball was so exciting and I also really liked the office and business parts, which are usually not my favourite thing in somehow workplace romances, it was just a great read! I might have even shed some tears of joy towards the end!

Eden Finley does it again!! Thad and Kelley’s ‘situationship’ had me hooked from the beginning. Thad St. James starts off as a mister grumpy pants towards Kelly, all because he was living his dream of being an MLB player, while Thad was interning as a sports agent (his backup plan). Kelly Afton has struggled with his anxiety all his life, and it only became even more heightened with coming out after his rookie year. Things change for both of them after they are sent on a 2-week hiatus with no phones or social media, just Thad, Kelly and Brady (who is constantly taking walks or getting firewood👀) *possible spoilers next, if you have not read Can’t Say Goodbye*
Thad and Kelly for a bond over discovering Brady’s secret boyfriends and after having an actual conversation about each other, and realizing they were to quick to judge each other. I loved how they became actual friends while simultaneously hooking up and sneaking around, they made me laugh so much!! By the end of the it I wanted more of them, they were just so sweet and had me swooning.
I loved their interactions with Brady and Damon (or Daddy Damon😆). I hope they and other characters keep making appearances in these books, I’ll never have enough.
Favorite quote(s): “But there are only so many red flags a bull can resist before it has to charge as fast as it can.” 😂
“With where my thoughts are headed, I really should get that fresh air before I resort myself to whoring. I’ll make that my backup plan to my backup plan.” 😂

I remember reading Damon’s story so it was rather lovely to see him in the present, not just as a visiting uncle but as a major player.
Thad sounded absolutely dreamy – the tattoos, the way he dressed, all of it – but initially, he was a bitter p.i.t.a. However, what I really appreciated about him was that once he realised that he was being really awful to Kelley, he did what he had to do to turn things around. He read Kelley’s file, gained an understanding as to what made him tick, and he made a difference.
I thought Kelley was really relatable and the descriptions of his catastrophising and anxieties were very realistic. I very much felt for him and everything he was going through. What I liked about Kelley was that he gave Thad a chance, listened to him, learned from him, and the two of them together really made each other better. So much better.
I loved seeing King Sports in action and am already trying to figure out who’s going to be in the next book because there were at least two people that I was thinking ‘hmm’. A very enjoyable read and recommended.

I liked this book, although I thought I was going to like it more because I was really looking forward to it since the author announced it. Thad and Kelley started off on the wrong foot mostly on Thad's side and I think that's why I couldn't connect well with him, he was very hurtful to Kelley and the poor guy didn't deserve it, while they were in the cabin they talked, they understood each other and I think that was the best part of the whole book in my opinion, after that there isn't much drama other than the distance between the two. I did like the way the author portrayed Kelley's problems with coming out in a sport like baseball, I felt it was very well written and something I can see happening in real life. Overall it was a very good book, I had a good time reading it and I can't wait for the others in this series.

The dynamic between Thad And Kelley were unbeatable. There were so many times that I just died ended pausing from laughing to hard at these boys try to get their acts together. Between that and Brady's and Damon's dynamic made the book.
