I was so excited for this book to come out since I love the series that it spins off from. Not only are there lots of fun moments in this book, but you get cameos from other characters too. I really enjoyed that while this was a fun read there was also a look at mental health and how severely that’s downplayed and how difficult that can be, especially in the world of sports. Can’t wait until the next in the series comes out!

I loved this book!! Baseball romances are some of my favorite. I liked the mental health rep and the dislike to love trope. Thad was a very believable character, as was Kelley. There were a lot of great quotes in this book. It was fun to see Brady's story unfold from an alternative perspective. Having read "Can't Say Goodbye" was beneficial to understanding Brady's storyline, although it was not necessary to have done so to enjoy this book.
Also, Damien as a silver fox? I am here for it. I do love getting to see characters from former books again. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

I absolutely loved this book! It had me giggling and kicking my feet at parts!
That said, I didn't love it as much as I usually love Eden's books.
I was kind of meh about Thad and Kelley as characters and therefore together.
And it's sad because I loveeee baseball, so I was so happy to be back with a baseball story! But there were also some things that had to do with baseball that had me laughing out loud at how absurd it was. Kelley's team wins by getting three runners to make it home on a fly out? Be so fucking for real.
Also I'm a Mets fan so fuck you Philly.
But I love how much Damon we got!!!!
Everyone calling him a silver Dadddy had me SHOOK!!! DAMON DOES NOT AGE IN MY MIND OKAY!
I did like seeing Brady as well, and all the mentions of Talon and Miller, and Peyton! And we even got a Lane sighting and a mention of Oskar!!!! AND HE'S RETIRED! I know he talked about it in Possessive Puckboy, but someone check on Ezra for me!
And I loved the snippet of Camden and Xavier (I really want to read their story!) and the hint at our next couple of Archer and Lincoln! I AM INTO THEM!
Overall, still really cute and fun, just not my favorite and probably won't reread.
