At times I had no clue what the poet was saying, or alluding to. I had to read this book for my English course, and disliked it greatly. In general, I’m not one for poetry about landscapes. The author’s use of imagery was strong, but many of the poems seemed like written photographs, and didn’t convey any particular meaning. Looking at other reviews, I think I’m not alone in my confusion over this book. Wang seems to be the only person who understands what her poems are really about.
