Likes:
  • Is it bad to say I appreciated how short this read was? I’m glad it was fast paced and short - I don’t think I would’ve wanted much more from this book lol
  • Liked the variety of monsters/species in this world
  • The world/environment outside of the farm was actually kind of cozy. Loved the little coffee shop they visited.

Dislikes:
  • I really can’t blame the book for this based on what the story was about but just reading about buckets of cum can be a bit revolting
  • I also don’t really like reading anything with handjobs/blow jobs/milking sooooo there’s that
  • Also also felt like there was an excess use of the word “frenulum”…

I mostly read this for the shock factor, but I have to say I don’t think it was as crazy as I thought it would be. I mean it’s really all in the title of the book, is it not? Lol.

Don’t get me wrong, I like smut and was excited to read my first monster-bait romance. I liked the Minotaur as MMC and I liked the milking farm as a plot device. I just didn’t enjoy the writing style. There were a bunch of instances where I lost the thread of the story and/or couldn’t tell which character was speaking, and it started to get on my nerves. Was there some enjoyable heat? Yes, absolutely. So if you’re here for a
slow-burn, slightly forbidden (he’s my client/customer/a different species) & spicy monster romance and don’t mind if there’s not a ton going on in the story & dialogue department,
get it!

This book tells the story of Violet, human in an interspecies world. She is drowning in debt from a master's degree she seemingly can't use, and when a job at a milking farm for minotaurs comes up and has great pay and benefits, she decides to interview.

And then quickly finds out that "milking" = jerking off minotaurs for science. At first, the job is daunting, but she gets used to it. And then she starts having a repeat client who keeps requesting her in particular, and she finds herself interested in this minotaur in more ways than one. The line between professional and personal gets blurry, and Violet isn't entirely sure if that's a bad thing.

I caught myself laughing several times during the book, not because it was funny, but because apparently I'm into minotaur smut??? And that is *not* something I realized before this book. Nacosta is a good writer, and though the subject matter is decidedly out of the scope of anything I've read before, it just...works.

So if you like minotaur smut, or are willing to branch out, give this book a try. You might just like it ;)

Honestly, this was just a cute, quick read. With a lot of smut. Erotica at its finest!
It was fairly well-written, but not a lot actually happens beyond the romance and honestly, not a lot happens there, either. They fall in love and that’s kind of it. They have a lot of sex and it’s great.

There are some sentences and dialogue that can feel rambly and sometimes it’s difficult to differentiate flashback from the present moment, but those are my only complaints. Definitely only read this if you’re prepared for lots of minotaur cum.

Well that was a whole journey. If you're not prepared for copious (measured to the tenth of an ounce) amounts of cum, back away.
