We should be able to make medical decisions informed by accurate science. On that Dr. Makary and I agree. It’s disheartening but not unexpected to be reminded that money and politics play such large roles in public health. 

I’d likely give this book a higher rating if Dr. Makary didn’t accept a role in the current administration. Seems to contradict his assertion that government shouldn’t censor scientific research, or that we should encourage civil discourse and dissent in the pursuit of truth.
