This is the first book in a series about the five Temple Brothers who were all born into a religious cult that paints a very disturbing picture on cult life. The brothers have discovered the world of BDSM and have made the decision to leave the group and strike out on their own. But they want to give others a chance to join then in their defection, so they are going to allow the arranged marriages that the cult forces upon its members, among other things, in the hopes that some of the women may want to leave with them.

Leviticus is a provocative story about Kink, Love, Passion, and Yearning. Levi and Ruth are brought together through an arranged marriage in the cult that they have both grown up in.

At first things are rocky and awkward between Levi and Ruth, but as the story progresses and Ruth begins to discover the truth of Levi's world, his involvement in Kink and BDSM, she begins to discover the truth in her own heart. She discovers a world of Submission and Dominance, a world where she can fully step into the person that she was always born to be.

Leviticus by Elle Sparrow is a triumph! Who wouldn't be hooked into a book with cults and arranged marriages and Kink all thrown together? The way Elle weaves the story of the first Temple brother's marriage is absolutely addicting. Leviticus is a Dominant through and through. Though at first he is willing to give up that life to rescue the woman he is arranged to marry and escape from his family's Cult, he finds in his intended, Ruth, the perfect Service Submissive. The heat levels are scorching and Elle Sparrow can write a Kink scene like no other. I admire that tremendously. Not only are the scenes hot, but they are true to the Community. There is passion and heart in the story and I simply cannot wait for the rest of the series to come out and find out what is in store for the remaining Temple brothers! One of the things I valued most about this story was the way it wasn’t just about Levi’s needs as a Dominant. He practices restraint beautifully and is very nurturing in the aftercare process, never neglecting Ruth’s wants or needs. Their dynamic together is electric and needs are met all around, as they should be. Ruth is the quintessential sub, but still the epitome of strength and power as a woman and Submissive, despite being raised in aa chaste religious Cult. This story evoked feelings in me that were hard to shake and I simply cannot wait for the remaining Temple brother’s stories! I received an ARC of this book but all opinions are my own.

Ruth and Levi were perfect for each other

Ruth and Levi were perfect together. The way the Dom/sub relationship was explained and developed was beautifully done. It's one of the best explanations I've read.

The Zion environment was a lot to take in, especially with what happened after the service.

I was so happy with where Ruth and Levi ended and that Ruth was so open to her own happiness.

This book took my breath away! I have never read this genre, but have always enjoyed dark fantasy, so I thought I’d give it a whirl. So interesting. I was surprised at how graphic and detailed the descriptions were. Was intrigued and felt different about this tabu lifestyle once I was immersed into the books pages. It left me wanting more! So glad there are 4 more to fulfill my “needs”!

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to more in the series. I really like how the author showed the parallels and highlighted the differences between B&SM and how the cult handles relationships. I believe this really spotlights the common misconceptions that society holds for this alternative lifestyle. Leviticus was a believable and deep character. Elle developed the FMC over time and built a strong heroine and love story.
