 Okieeee!

So this book had me questioning my existence one minute to squealing and kicking my legs the next! This was darker than I expected and at the same time sweeter than I expected. Levi and Ruth are such a great pair and honestly made me believe in soul mates for a second.

Warning if you have religious trauma this will just make it worse but in a good way(?) I think lol. I think it is fascinating to get into the heads of people who are in cults and experiencing intense indoctrination because it is a little cathartic and also mind bending.

The writing is clearly self published as there were many issues in editing. But the actual content of the book was so good! I was a bit skeptical and the 4+ stars on Goodreads but man this hit and scratched every itch I had!

Levi Book boyfriend rating: 8.7/10 (we love an educational Dom)

Different than most books about the BDSM community. Similar in that, it explores kinks, consent, and a girl who has never heard of the community. It was different in the fact that the main characters and all the side characters are a part of a cult. As I'm reading, the angrier I'm getting with Levi's father and the whole elders of the community. Makes me freaking sick!! I love the plan that Levi has with his brothers. I just worry they may not be able to execute it. His father terrifies me. And so does Ruth's sister, Adah. She's planning something, and I'm afraid it's going to hurt Ruth. The relationship Ruth and Levi developed is so sweet and perfect! I'm so glad that Levi gets to be himself, and so does Ruth. For as long of a book this was, nothing much happened, besides the development between the characters

I was hooked in this story within the first couple of pages. This story is such an unique one to me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Levi is the oldest brother that must get married in their community/cult. Through this arranged marriage, fortune is on his side and gifts him with the perfect person for him. Ruth is a traditional subservient woman that is to be expected from their upbringing, however there is more than the traditional within her. This is not a story where something massive or some horrible thing happens towards the end. The massive thing in their lives happens at the beginning of the story. Watching these two learn to trust each other and build a life with love in it is beautiful. I am excited to read the rest of this series, to see how the rest of Temple brothers fall. And if they’re successful in their plans.

This book was everything I didn’t know I needed! I loved every word even the cringey parts I couldn’t stop reading! If you’ve ever had a fascination with religious cults but also love spicy books this is for you! Can’t wait to read the rest!

As the first book in a series of books, I cannot wait to read the next books! I feel like this book is setting up the rest of the series. It's a very spicy book with some triggers so be aware of that. I think it is very well written. There are a few typos and a word missing in one sentence but it's not distracting. I think this series is going to be in my top 10. Starting the second book now!
