There were some parts I liked a lot but it was pretty inconsistent and even in the parts I liked she would interject something pointless or distracting from time to time. It was weird the way she would sometimes go out of her way to try not to offend a group of people, especially given her overall subject matter and perspective.

Audiobook: some parts are gold-hearing her journey to becoming a professional comedian, her relationships and account of her sexual assault are riveting. But she does tend to drone on and a quite a few vignettes fall into the category of "filler." Definitely still worth a listen, but there's room for improvement.

I wish I could give .5 ratings- I would give this a 3.5. I really like Amy Schumer and thought she had some interesting stories, but this could have been more polished/edited. There were consistent themes but they weren’t brought together cohesively.

Seriously bad language, seriously good stories, and some seriously good commentary on today's world. I like Amy Schumer much better than I thought I would after listening to her read her own book. I don't know that I would have enjoyed it so much in print.

Oh, Amy. The girl with the big mouth and no shame, how I do adore you. You are not without flaws, of course, and that's the thing- you own those flaws, whether you think they qualify for that term or not. This collection of essays was funny, and even touching at times, which I wasn't necessarily expecting. (But I did see Trainwreck, and that had a lovely mix of both emotions, too.) Every December, I try to read at least one comedian's book or something pretty fluffy, as a little reward for making it through another year, and considering this year's status as one of the worst overall in recent times, I think a little fluff was more than necessary.

Funny but also surprisingly full of anecdotes about inner strength. It was good!

When I started this book I was disappointed that it wasn't as funny as Ms. Schumer is on her show or in her stand-up. But as it progressed it was actually nice to get to know the real Amy Schumer. She's a cool lady.

I'm a fan. I find her so smart, funny, and honest. She's able to verbalize and stand up for some things that are really important, because she's honest and unapologetic.

This book had the right amount of self-deprecation you might expect from a comedian, plus a nice dose of self love. I liked Amy Schumer before, but now I truly respect her. Yes, she's funny and crude and outspoken, but she's also very intelligent, well-read and deep.

The audio book is very entertaining.
