I am a fan and find Amy Schumer's comedy really hilarious. She is blunt but honest and good hearted and she can make me laugh insanely hard. This is kind of a memoir and kind of a collection of stuff from her stand up stretched out, and covers serious stuff as well as hilarious and gross stuff. A simple chatty read that I enjoyed. I'm glad she's using her platform to raise awareness that even strong women can be victims of domestic violence and to campaign for stricter gun control. Fuck the trolls, Amy is hilarious.

Normally memoirs make me like a person a little bit less but this one made me like Schumer more.

So good in so many ways! Loved learning that Amy is an introvert and getting to hear about her family along with her journey as a comedian, writer, actress and boss. There were so many hilarious moments as well as eye opening and powerful moments. Amy I love you.

This book has a definite formula: obscene story...moral. Disturbing story...moral. Sad story...moral. With pretty predictably raunchy humor laced throughout (which I generally enjoy, but which doesn't work for me in moralistic essay form). I truly like Amy Schumer, but the book...meh. And for goodness sakes, could someone please start editing celebrity books????? Honestly, publishing houses are doing celebrities a huge disservice by not bothering to edit them at all, even for awkward word choice. I'm available and willing to read your memoirs and essays, celebs. Just ask me.
I usually find her humor a little too raunchy. This book showed her real side. Good.
