I really liked the plot, characters and the pacing of the book. It was really exciting, especially towards the end.
As likeable as the two main characters are, I think they acted really stupidly at some sections of the book. Also, Mark acted and reacted much bigger than his age, which made the book less beliveable.

OK, there was a chase! I got it. Must have skipped 40 or 50 pages in this book. I love how much more ambivalent the ending is, compared to the movie. We couldn't have Tom Cruise 'sink' to Mitch's level. Liked the book more...even with the 50 pages I skipped.

EN - This was an enjoyable read but it was lengthy and at times, the story felt unnecessary: As though the writer expanded it in order to write the book. It all felt avoidable and it seemed that the plot could have been much simpler. Still, quite a nice read.

I have always loved Grisham's book and it was no exception. It is definitely a good page turner and kept me on the edge of my seat.

Mark Sway, young boy aged 11, put himself and his brother in polemic situation when they saw a man, Jerome Clifford, tried to kill himself. The problem got even more complicated because Clifford is the lawyer of Barry the Blade, New Orleans's mafia who killed US Senator Boyd Boyette.
This book shows the bravery of Mark Sway, as a brother and a son in his family, and his patriotic lawyer, Reggie Love. Although Mark only paid her one dollar, Reggie represents Mark boldly, against FBI and deadly mafia, risking her own life.

I like John Grisham books because they grab your attention and they are pretty easy to get through. After reading a book, I usually find myself applying it to myself & seeing what I get out of it (either by looking for a moral of the story, by comparing the characters to my personality or by seeing how uplifting the book is). I never seem to get a response from myself after reading Grisham. But they are good books to read in the airport when waiting for a delayed flight.
