A favorite Grisham and good movie version too. A young boy knows where a dead body is located and so the mob wants to kill him. A female lawyer protects him.

When this came out I'd gone through Grisham's other books and waited long for this one. If GR had been around in the 90s, I'd have GIFs of screaming girls on this post. Well, the book came and I tore through it in a day and a half...and wasn't overwhelmed. It's a good book, but lacked the intensity of The Pelican Brief and The Firm. This is mostly about a middle aged lady who became a lawyer, who helps a kid who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It moved away from legal thriller to just suspense.

Favorite Grisham novel, favorite Grisham film.

Seems it is usual for Grisham - great story, poor ending.
