A tense, twisty, and beautifully written psychological thriller. The story is quiet and elegant at first, but the suspense builds steadily, and the ending hits like a punch to the gut. Beautifully atmospheric, haunting, and impossible to forget.

Quick easy read. Very good story, I really liked the plot twist. I wish there was more to read. Would really like to reread to catch all the small details again knowing how it ends.

I won’t lie, the end of this book boosted the rating. HOW am I to watch this on tv??? I’m not a fan of how it was written but it makes sense in terms of the narrator. part 5 ended me … I contemplated crying tbh. was rly looking forward to a cutesie teen summer mystery and i ended up with a confusing, depressing, messed up teen summer drama so that’s fun. also, now knowing the meaning of the book cover is sending me spiraling.
