2.5/5 stars yet again I beg goodreads to give us the half star option. I wasn't sure if I was going to give this book 2 or 3 stars. To be honest, I like the concept and the whole idea behind this book even though in my opinion were badly executed. The only thing that kept me going was this twist everyone was talking about. Am I disappointed with how the book end ? Not really. Did I expect more from this book? Definitely.

I loved the tv series but I felt the book just didn’t deliver the same emotional punch. The characters and conflicts were much more developed on screen and the idyllic island setting failed to come to life in book the way it did in series.

This book started our reading like a young adult novel, with teenage characters and a simple plot. However, as more details emerged about the accident, I became hooked and did not foresee the direction that the book went. It's a very easy read but it's also surprising.
