My biggest beef was with the writing style. Each chapter is a self contained entity, which meant a lot of repetition. This was quite annoying for me, as someone who read the book cover to cover.

Required read for an AP course. I hated reading this. I did not want to move to the next page ever. But I could see why it's useful I guess? I don't know... It's sooooo dull. And so much information in one book. Will not reread this lol.

Largely very interesting, but occasionally felt repetitive and difficult to get through. I learned a lot though of general history and geography and found it a very valuable read.

Really good and insightful overview of human history over the past 10,000+ years, and how the earth's history and geography has since shaped that history all over the globe.
Pretty thick and dense book, but worth it, if you have the time to pace through it.
