Artemis is more than just a evil genius in this book. He's an evil genius with feelings and it is wonderful!
I gave the second book of this series a try and actually loved it way more than the first book. Artemis finds out his father is still alive and in the process of being taken in to be questioned about his involvement in a goblin rebellion he and holly end up working together in an adventure underground and above ground.
I’m remembering why I loved these books as a kid. Quick reads, all fun. On to the next!

They've hooked me. I'll continue to read this series in between my other books. This is a cute little series for Preteens and has a charming story line. Perfect for those who want a bit of adventure but have a short attention span too. I love that Artemis is portrayed as an evil character, yet he is written to be such a likable character.
Second in the series and still a perfect book for any child over 10. Cofler builds a good series with characters that continue to expand and take shape. The books build on each other so they should be read in order.
