Great book, great read. Some slower parts, but that happens. Cannot wait to watch the movie to see how well they kept up with the book.

Unlike the film, which is its own separate masterpiece, the book focuses on the Torrance family's love for eachother, which makes the ending so much more tragic. King excels at creating an incredible eerie atmosphere, especially with his signature streams of consciousness which constantly disturb the characters' thoughts. Danny is adorable and Jack is terrifying but sympathetic. There is not a bad chapter.
