I struggle between 3.5 and 4 on this one. Fascinating idea, jostled together plot, but that ending...whew, that made it worth it.

overall a good book and good plot with a lot of twists. i do think the “found footage” element would’ve been more impactful had it not been 99% just jack writing a firsthand account of everything that happened. like if it were piecing together notes and scribbles and voice memos and stuff it would have been more interesting imo

I wasn't sure how I would feel about this one as the horror/comedy mashup isn't always for me. But this one, while I didn't find it particularly scary, there was enough to keep me guessing about what was happening and I was happy with the conclusion. And I genuinely laughed a couple of times so all around it was a really enjoyable read.

An eerie, dark, thriller in line with the exorcist. A man trying to prove that the supernatural is all made up. A bit confusing at times, especially at the end, I had trouble following everything.
