I definitely feel like I'm missing something in this story, but not an OBVIOUS "I have just opened a story arc halfway through" kind of feeling.
Otherwise, this is pretty easy to pick up. Xena is portrayed beautifully by the artist, and there was enough humor and drama mixed in the first issue to make me wonder where it's going in the second.

I like the relationship between Xena and Gabrielle as always, but for some reason it just doesn't do it for me.
