I read this in a day and it was quite fun once you leaned into the antics of the main couple.

Such a fun read I was dying laughing the first half and absolutely love the main character. Both of the characters have a lot of flaws but it never felt forced. They’re dynamic is what’s makes this book so so fun. I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to just have a fun time.

Oh my GOOODDD!!! my heart is literally not in my body, it has wings and it flew away to the ever after house. This book is everything I've been looking for, packed with humour and butterflies I might just die now. I've read so many second chance romances but this has to be the best so far.

Nicholas is my MAN. HE'S JUST SOO... he's responsible and he's understanding and on top of everything he sees Naomi. And he was willing to sacrifice everything to salvage whatever was left of their relationship. I'm going to go and gush about it to my friends. Wow just wow.

THIS WAS AN INCREDIBLE ROMANCE. i’ve recently gotten into romance books over this past year, and i usually start them with some skepticism, due to my youthful days gorging on romance novels (most of which, toxic and poorly written stories). now, there are plenty of enemies-to-lovers storylines, but THIS? THIS? i’m on my knees for this book. the whole rediscovering-each-other-aspect of this story was amazing.

everyone has flaws, and it’s hard to keep this in mind sometimes. it’s even more difficult to recognize your own when all you can fixate on is how the faults of others can hurt you. i love how naomi is such an unreliable narrator when it comes to her relationship. naomi paints nicholas out to be this completely neglectful partner who seems completely unredeemable (not saying he didn’t do some questionable things, ofc). at first, i was against nicholas; how could he adorn his mother with so much love but cast naomi aside like that? his own partner? but sarah hogle unravels this incredibly. unlearning behaviors taught to you takes time. and as the story professes, readers begin to witness naomi’s own faults in their relationship, while she comes to register and acknowledge them herself. neither are saints; both have their flaws and have hurt each other.

overall, i love love naomi and nicholas. all their bantering, how they begin to amend their relationship, and especially all the ways they tried to surprise each other. THEYRE JUST ADORABLE.

when nicholas called naomi his best friend…i died.

You Deserve Each Other is Sarah Hogle's debut novel, and I can't remember the last time that I actually laughed at a book several times. This book is sort of reminiscent of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (except this couple is engaged & trying to get each other to back out of the wedding). I really enjoyed it.

The ending was wrapped up a little too nicely for my taste, but I adored this book overall. If you need a sweet & funny rom-com story, I can't recommend this one enough.
