As an American and never learning of UK history, unless we are wrapped up in it, I found this extremely interesting.
It weaves you through both political sides of the bombing showing their motives and thoughts bringing you to the bombing and beyond like a real-life CSI episode. A historical CSI.
It does a great job of showing the individual people behind the bombing and also the political figures involved. I did lose a little interest as the author built up to the bombing, but it was all backstory to get you invested in both the IRA attempts and Thatcher.
I don't think I've ever been so swept up in a nonfiction like this one. Break out the popcorn if you plan to read this!

I found this to be a fascinating look at what has become a footnote of history. The IRA comes within feet of taking the British Prime Minister and changed history, and yet no one knows the story. Highly recommended if you're interested in Irish history or that of the "Troubles."
