I just finished this book, and it has filled me with all kinds of warm fuzzies. I don't think I've fallen in love with a magical world this much since Harry Potter. The world building is that good.

This book is definitely worth its own length. I would recommend it to anyone with even a passing interest in fantasy and alternate history fictions.

I stared reading this thinking I picked up Jekyll and Hyde…
This is a great read, the writing style is awesome the layering of world building, prophecies, alternative history, and literature was great fun.
I loved what I (as an uninformed reader) would describe as the Jane Austen vibes of the dialogue.
Transparently though, this wasn’t an insta-love book for me, it’s more that the longer it’s been since I’ve read this book, the more I want to make it part of my personality. Which tbf is the exact opposite way I feel about most books I read.
