Wow! What a powerful testimony. I’m so glad I picked this up! Thank you to “She’s a Bible Nerd” for the recommendation. Truly an incredible and thought provoking read!

Genuinely one of the best books I've ever read / listened to. I learnt so much about Islam and Christianity I really want to learn more. His testimony was so educational, moving and inspiring, I want to rewatch it. But wow. This book was so powerful and he really accomplished great things while he was on this Earth, I can only imagine what he would've done if God wanted him to be here for longer. I really liked the structure of the book as well and how much he cared for his culture, family and Muslims, and how that love poured out through his words and voice. And rhen his passion for Jesus and knowing and living the truth was so inspiring. Such a good book I couldn't stop listening to it. So good I ordered the hard copy halfway through. I'd recommend reading along while you listen, it's really nice to hear his voice narrate his own story but you can get lost v easily with the different terminology - esp the Arabic and Muslim phrases. But such a good read, every Christian should listen to - it's so powerful and inspiring !

A very academic exploration of the differences between Islam and Christianity and the cases for the truth of each. But what makes it extremely readable is that the questions are investigated through Nabeel's life story. A good understanding (for non-Muslims) of his former Islamic beliefs comes through his childhood experiences, retold with obvious affection. Caveat: I do actually know a bit about Muslim beliefs and quite a bit about the Bible and Christian Theology, so things that seem simply presented to me, might be a bit harder for some others. But still I would highly recommend Nabeel's very approachable style. Unusually for me, I listened to the audiobook and Nabeel is clearly an extremely gifted speaker and I hung on every word. Two possible criticisms: In ch.7, Nabeel reveals that his family are Ahmadis, which not all believe are true Muslims. Nabeel defends this both in that chapter and in appendix 2 (written for a later edition of the book). Secondly, a number of scholars have contributed to the book (they have their say in appendix 1), which raises the question of how much of this is really Nabeel's life story and how much might have been added later to bulk up the apologetic content. Still, their contribution makes for a richer text.

The Foreword, Afterword, Reflection (by Nabeel's widow), and Conversation (with David Wood) from the third edition are all included in the audiobook, which expands the whole thing by about 90 minutes (about half of which is the Conversation). The appendices, which would appear in the print version, are a further 28 pages of pdf download found here:

Highly recommended to anybody who is interested in Islam and / or Christianity, regardless of whether you believe in either.

Sit back, all you bookstagrammers who know me well enough to know I am not fond of non-fiction... ALAS, I not only made it through this book, I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus joins Unbroken and The Hiding Place on the list of non-fiction books I love.

In this book Nabeel Quereshi tells of his entire life as a Muslim. Along the way he educated me about Islamic customs and beliefs without ever making me feel like I was reading a textbook. His description of his childhood, his loving family and his worship, allowed me a glimpse into a completely different lifestyle and will forever shape my thoughts on the Islam religion.

Qureshi’s examination of Islam and eventually of Christianity challenged my own beliefs and reaffirmed my faith in Christ. For many different reasons, I blubbered through the end of this book. It is a powerful story.

Read this if you:
-Want to understand Islam better
-Want to understand Christianity better, especially the inerrancy of the Bible.
-Have the view that every religious path leads to the same place
-Enjoy biographies

I listened to this audio and it was read by the author. It was fantastic.
