This book was soo good. I really wish that I didn’t have a bad habit of flicking through pages because that twist was brilliant. I also really liked meeting the alternate dragonets

A lot of this book was boring. When the protagonist’s main issue is that he is passive and indecisive, it takes a real adept hand to make his story interesting.
An amazing book. Can't wait to start the next book.😊
Gahhhh! These books are so good!! They just keep getting better and better!
2.75? Idk. The ending was GREAT! And it was a good idea to see the nightwings, but since they're the actual worst, it got old really quickly. Also, I feel like I learned hardly anything about nightwings other than the fact that they live in/on a volcano and they're elitist shitheads for the most part. I feel like in previous books, we got to know lots of side characters from the queendom we visited, but this one focused more on the alternate dragonets. Mastermind a bit, and there were like three bits with deathbringer (I need 100% more of him, ps), but the rest were just names. Even the princess had no personality beyond being the Queen's mouthpiece until the last chapter or two. Startflight was surprisingly annoying, and I still have a million questions. Who stole his dream thing? Do any nightwings actually have the gift of prophecy or mind reading? I know it's a book for younger readers, but I didn't think morrowseer's secret was unexpected? Like at all?? And...I'm worried the last book will be rushed because we need to spend enough time with Sunny...but also conclude the series, cover all sandwing queens, all other queens, and tie up all the loose plot bits. Sigh.
Also just want to throw it out there that my favorite character fell for an assassin

I didn't like Stargazers narrative voice as much, but I did love the story.
My final ship in this series is ruined too, I can feel it. *sobs*
But anyway, it was still a VERY interesting read, and I will definitely recommend it to ANY kid between the age of 10-13.
