This book is such a well written piece of literature, not was bad about this book, the plot, story and the way it was structured was brilliant. And I’m truly and deeply obsessed with it.
The Characters were written tragically beautiful and West and Jackson have a place in my heart forever.I thought I wasn’t going to like West because of the warning I read but I ended up understanding and loving him and I’m so proud of his progress.Jackson,oh Jackson the anchor that you are to our perfectly broken West, the way he loved West was so beautifully,he was angry and hurt but still understanding, patient, encouraging and loving and I know in a way that’s what pushed West into trying to be a better version of himself so that he can finally feel like he deserved Jackson’s love, time and care. And so he fought and won but his whole life will still be about fighting and I know with Jackson by his side,he will always win.
Healing: I love it when authors don’t use the love heals trauma or mental health plot. And this book did amazing, taking us on a 15+ month journey of West fighting his demons, working on himself with the help of specialists, going to therapy and overcoming his trauma and demons one after the other, yeah he failed sometimes but he never gave up and went for it again.
This book is one of the best books I’ve read in a while and I have so much respect for the author. The author ✨CAN WRITE.✨

So many trigger warnings! It is definitely an emotional read but if you stick with it then it is such a beautiful story. West had so much to work through but I’m also glad that everyone reminded Jackson he also needed to take care of himself. I think that’s forgotten sometimes when you are in the thick of helping someone. Very well written and a wonderful love story. The animals were probably the best part!
This was good. Boy were they both frustrating in the beginning but once Jackson had the info he immediately made the switch and stuck to it, which I respect. Very angsty, lots of hurt comfort, or at least trying to comfort while not knowing what the fuck to do. I felt the author handled the subject matter well, and the complications and nuances that come with caring for a severely traumatized person.
I wasn't the biggest fan of the ending, but I think that's a personal preference (that I'm still thinking on) because narratively speaking it worked really well. On that note, this was a well structured and planned out work. Is it weird to say too obviously outlined?
Overall I enjoyed this!

I am deeply impressed.
World building, MCs, secondary characters, plot, dialogues: 5 stars.
The writing is top notch.
This story puts you through the wringer, the MCs have to fight ✨really✨ hard for their HEA.
There is a long list of content warnings you should look at first.
